Cash Game Rules
Game rules, Call Time, Buy-In, rebuys, table changes and conduct for Cash Game tables at Palace Poker Room.
1. Minimum playing time (Call Time)
- The minimum time at a Cash Game table is 2 hours, depending on the table's Buy-In.
- If the player is winning, they may only leave after completing their Call Time, in accordance with the rules in force.
- If the player is losing, they may leave at any time.
- Each time a player changes tables (with the supervisor's prior authorization), their Call Time resets automatically.
2. Buy-In (minimum and maximum)
Each table's Buy-In must be strictly respected:
$3,000 table → maximum Buy-In $15,000
$5,000 table → maximum Buy-In $25,000
$10,000 table → maximum Buy-In $50,000
These amounts may not be exceeded under any circumstances.
3. Rebuys by card (bank terminal)
- All rebuys made with a bank terminal must be brought to the table in full.
- Partial purchases are not allowed.
Example
It is not allowed to buy $15,000 and play with only $3,000 in chips.
4. Rebuys with chips at the table
If a player still has chips and wishes to rebuy, they must do so in a way that starts the next hand with at least the table's minimum Buy-In.
Example
If the player has $1,000 in chips, they may rebuy $2,000 to reach the minimum.
Conditions
- There is no concept of a "last bullet".
- Rebuys for amounts below the minimum Buy-In are not allowed.
- Agreements between players to enter with amounts below the Buy-In are not allowed. Even if the players agree, such arrangements are not permitted.
5. Table changes
Winning player
Must complete their Call Time before changing tables, respecting the waiting list.
Losing player
May change tables without completing Call Time, respecting the waiting list and with the supervisor's authorization.
General condition
- A table change must be made with the same stack.
- Removing chips when changing tables is not allowed.
6. Table balancing
- Balancing only applies between tables with the same Buy-In and the same format.
- The last player to have sat down may be required to balance. They are notified that they are the last at the table, so if balancing is needed they will be the first to move (this is to avoid conflicts at the table).
- This instruction is mandatory.
Winning player without Call Time completed
If the player is winning and has not completed their Call Time, the player to be balanced will be the second-to-last at the table.
7. Table breaking
If a table breaks because a player stands up with no intention of continuing to play, that player:
- Will not take part in draws to join new tables.
If the players from the table that just broke wish to play again, they may do so with the new table's minimum Buy-In.
8. Main table and secondary tables
- There will be a Main Table, which has priority to be filled.
- A maximum difference of one player between tables is allowed.
Valid example
Main Table: 6 players
Secondary Table: 7 players
9. Seat reservations
- Reservations are only allowed when the table is in "About to open" status.
- Once the table is active, any reservation loses validity and the player is placed on the waiting list.
Reservation without being present in the room
If the player is not physically present, the seat will be given according to the waiting list.
10. Waiting list
- Arriving at the room does not guarantee a spot on the waiting list.
- The player must register with the Supervisor to be considered.
- A player who is physically present always has priority over an absent one.
Player in a tournament
If the player is active in a tournament, the seat will be given to the next player on the list.
11. Absences at the table
The maximum waiting time for an absence is 15 minutes. After this time:
- The chips are removed.
- The seat is released for the waiting list (if any).
12. Total loss of chips and abandonment
If a player loses all their chips in a hand and stands up without announcing an immediate rebuy, the seat will be released and given to the next player on the waiting list.
13. Deals and chip handling
- Deals that encourage removing chips from the pot or the table are not allowed.
- Any deal must be made off the table.
- Removing chips from the table is not allowed.
- The maximum amount allowed to hand chips to another player is $200 MXN.
14. Running it multiple times
A hand may be run a maximum of two or three times, only if:
- All players involved agree.
- The hand situation allows it.
15. Improper card handling (bending cards)
Bending, marking or damaging the cards is prohibited.
Scale of penalties
- First time: verbal warning.
- Second time: a $500 MXN charge for damage to materials. If the payment is not covered, play will be denied.
- Third time: denial of play for the rest of the day, or up to one week, at the staff's discretion.
16. Showdown obligation
- When a hand ends without a clearly defined winner, players must show down and reveal all their cards.
- If a third player was forced out of the hand, players will not be allowed to muck their cards to avoid the showdown and split the pot.
17. Final considerations
- All staff decisions aim to maintain order, fairness and the best possible playing experience.
- Failure to comply with these rules may result in penalties or restrictions.
- Palace Poker Room reserves the right of admission and continued play.
